Winter 2026

RTA begins implementation of the Winter ’26 Service Schedule in January.

RTA is seeking public feedback on proposed route adjustments planned for the Winter 2026. These changes are designed to improve access, reliability, and connectivity based on rider and operator feedback.

Previous Service Changes

Fall changes include minor adjustments to schedules and routes on some lines. Responding to community feedback, this service change brings a requested new stop at DePaul Health Center in Algiers on the 105-Algiers Local bus route.

RTA is the perfect first leg of your Gulf Coast travels to experience the new Amtrak Mardi Gras Service departing from Union Passenger Terminal.

Streetcar Lines Reopening
46 - Rampart/UPT – With the conclusion of adjacent construction projects, this line will officially reopen for service.
49 - Riverfront – This streetcar line will now run along the river from the French Market to Julia Street. New destinations include the Hilton Riverside, Riverwalk Mall, and Convention Center.

This line will no longer service Canal Street, Loyola Avenue, or Union Passenger Terminal. Reaching these destinations will require transferring.
