Lower Algiers - Chalmette ferry temporarily suspends service due to inspection

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority will suspend ferry service along the Lower Algiers – Chalmette route on Tuesday, November 9 beginning at 8:00 a.m. due to a mandatory U.S. Coast Guard inspection. Ferry service will resume once the inspection has concluded.
In addition, a terminal-to-terminal bus shuttle will be provided along the Algiers Point – Canal Street ferry route from Tuesday, November 9 through Thursday, November 11 due to ferry terminal construction and the end of the terminal lease at Mardi Gras World. The bus shuttle will operate from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Ferry service along the route will resume on Friday, November 12 at the new interim location in front of Audubon Aquarium.
