Lawrence Canal Bridge closure

Due to bridge closure, the Lake Forest line will need to be placed on a temporary detour until the repairs are completed. This will affect four stops, which will be taken out of service during this time:

No Riverfront Service

49-Riverfront Streetcar line closed for work

The 49-Riverfront Streetcar will be closed beginning Wednesday, April 22 for work on the line. Service is tentatively expected to return by Saturday, April 25.

Chalmette Ferry Out of Service

Lower Algiers–Chalmette Ferry out of service until further notice following a routine inspection of the Chalmette Ferry bridge conducted by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD), during which issues were identified. For updates on the status of the ferry and bridge, riders are encouraged to visit the LADOTD website at https://dotd.la.gov/
