RTA Announces Temporary Ferry Service Adjustment Due to French Quarter Festival

NEW ORLEANS – Today, April 13, 2023, between 7:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., the U.S. Coast Guard has ordered a river traffic shutdown due to fireworks displays for French Quarter Fest that will require the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) to temporarily adjust the Canal Street – Algiers Point ferry service.
To allow movement of riders during the river traffic shutdown, a shuttle bus service will be provided from the intersection of Canal Street and Convention Center Boulevard.
