NEW ORLEANS - Today, the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority announced a two-day shutdown of a portion of the St. Charles streetcar route for planned maintenance. Beginning Monday, May 17 at 6 AM service will be suspended from Erato Street to Canal Street along the route. Riders needing to travel the line can access the temporary bus shuttle on the sidewalk side of existing stops at parallel street corners.  Service is expected to be restored on Tuesday, May 18 at 2 PM.
