NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA)  will suspend ferry service along the Canal Street – Algiers Point route on Monday, January 10 from 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM due to a Coast Guard river closure. Service will resume once the river reopens and the vessel can safely return to its normal route. Ferry service will be extended until 9:30 PM to accommodate riders needing to cross the river.
