NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans Regional Transit Authority Board of Commissioners and the entire RTA family extend our condolences on the passing of New Orleans icon Bill Rouselle at the age of 77. A champion for public service, Mr. Rouselle understood the importance of connecting governmental leaders to the people they serve. We at the RTA will remember him for his community outreach and public engagement efforts. Bill was a fervent advocate for transparency, encouraging leaders to “Speak truth to the people”. He worked tirelessly to help build trust among our riders and inspired us to place their needs first in our work. We will be forever grateful for his impact and wish peace and healing to his family and the countless others he touched.
