RTA to host Algiers Point ferry terminal and Canal Street ferry terminal update

NEW ORLEANS – On Wednesday, July 8, the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority will host a virtual meeting project update on the Canal Street and Algiers Point terminals. The meeting will provide project status updates on both terminals. The meeting will begin at 10:00 am and is open to the public. An update will be presented tonight, July 1, to the Rider’s Advisory Committee. That meeting is also open to the public via a call-in number provided on the RTA website.
The Canal Street Ferry Terminal Project aims to provide a modern ferry terminal at the end of Canal Street in downtown New Orleans. The Algiers Ferry Terminal Project focuses on rehabilitation and modernization of the existing structure.
