- March 21st, 2024
NEW ORLEANS – On Saturday, March 23, the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) will provide free bus, streetcar and ferry rides on Louisiana’s election day, to enhance accessibility to polling sites. No voter registration proof is necessary. Riders are encouraged to use the Le Pass app to plan their route to the polls.
In 2020, the RTA Board of Commissioners approved a resolution adopted by the New Orleans City Council to eliminate fares on official election days, underscoring the agency’s priority to create an equitable transit system.
For more information, visit the RTA website at norta.com, use the Le Pass app, or call our Rideline at (504) 248-3900.
