Jazzy Passes
There are many ways you can get a Jazzy Pass. Youth and Senior passes are available with valid ID. Other reduced and paratransit fares are available.
When you buy a Jazzy Pass card, it is inactive until you dip it into the fare machine the first you time you board a bus or streetcar. The machine will activate your card.
After your first use, you can now use the pass as much as you’d like throughout the RTA system until the time of expiration. Each time you get on board, simply dip the card into the fare machine. Cards will be stamped on the back of the card with the time and date your pass expires.
Passes expire the designated number of days after activation from the time it has been validated. For example, a 1-day Jazzy Pass will expire 24 hours from first use. If you are uncertain about when your Jazzy Pass will expire, just look at the stamp that the fare box makes on the back of your card at the time you activated. If you are using Le Pass, you can view the time remaining on your pass on your Le Pass app.
Transferring is easy with a Jazzy Pass. Transfer values expire two hours after you first dip your Jazzy Pass to begin your trip.
The Regional Ride allows you to ride both RTA and Jefferson Transit (JeT) lines with just one pass. It is good for 24 hours after first use, and can be purchased on RTA and JeT vehicles, the RTA Le Pass app, and RTA Ticket Vending Machines. The Regional Ride costs $6.
